Fr. Kevin J. O'Brien is a priest of the Diocese of Richmond and was ordained on August 11, 1979. He is a lifer, having attended St. John Vianney High School Seminary, St. Meinrad College Seminary, and the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, where he spent four years studying theology. After ordination to the priesthood, Fr. Kevin served in parish ministry as parochial vicar and pastor in Richmond, Virginia Beach, New Bohemia, Lynchburg, and Chesapeake. He did graduate studies and received both a Doctor of Ministry degree as well as a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA.
As a priest, he loves to celebrate liturgy, preach, and share his love for the Word of God, especially his favorite book of the Bible---The Book of Revelation! As a hobby, he enjoys reading, basketball, visiting friends, and traveling to new places around the world
