Fair Trade Ministry 

The Fair Trade Ministry gives our parish an opportunity to put our faith into action by supporting small-scale farmers and their families around the world. Through the sale of Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, olive oil, and other products from Equal Exchange, a worker-owned cooperative that partners directly with small farmer cooperatives, we help create a more just and sustainable food system. 

Our ministry offers Fair Trade products for sale after Mass on the second and fourth weekends of each month. We also share information about Fair Trade and how our purchasing decisions can make a positive difference for farming communities around the world. 

We are always looking for new volunteers! Volunteers usually spend about 20–30 minutes helping at the Fair Trade cart after the Mass they already attend. Volunteers greet parishioners, assist with purchases, answer questions about Fair Trade products, and help keep the cart stocked. Additionally, volunteers occasionally help with setting up displays, inventory, and special seasonal sales.

Through Fair Trade, we put Catholic Social Teaching into action by supporting the dignity of work, caring for God's creation, and standing in solidarity with small farming communities around the world.

To purchase any of the fine coffee and goodies, you can stop by the cart after some Masses during the month or feel free to stop by our offices. All items are purchased with cash or check. Gift cards available too.
