BAPTISM
The Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. It allows us, as Christians, to participate in the sacramental life of the Church.
For infants and children up to the age of 6, ICC provides scheduled formation and celebrations throughout the year. If you would like to schedule your child’s baptism, contact Jean Hawley.
If you are an adult (or have a child who is 7 or older) who has never been baptized, the journey of conversion is different than that for infants. For a year or so, you journey with the Church as a "catechumen," focusing on building a relationship with Jesus Christ, and living the life of a disciple. The journey culminates in the Celebration of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at Easter. Contact Mark Hoggard.
If you are an adult who is already validly baptized in another Christian denomination, the process of entering into full communion with the Catholic Church, contact Mark Hoggard to discuss how you might prepare for this.
GODPARENTS
All those seeking to become godparents or sponsors need to read and sign the appropriate Godparent Attestation form, testifying that they meet the requirements of the Church for these roles, and have their pastor or administrative staff sign the form as well. For the form, go to:
