ICC Food Ministry

Food Pantry

For over 20 years the ICC food pantry has addressed hunger in our area. The walk-in food pantry (no appointment required) now serves over 200 households and over 600 people monthly from Hampton and the surrounding areas. Our guests are greeted by volunteers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and can receive two full bags of nonperishable groceries twice a month. Our unsheltered guests may receive food items daily when the pantry is open.

For many, our Food Pantry grocery bags are a regular and necessary food source each month. The Food Pantry is supported by your generous donations, our partnership with the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, and the dedication of our many hard-working volunteers.

Our volunteers pack grocery bags, shop for and sort groceries, and greet our guests with a warm welcome. They also build relationships with each other as they volunteer for a common purpose- feeding our neighbors.

To volunteer please call the office at (757)826-0393 or send an email to foodministry@icchampton.org

Sunday Supper

A bi-monthly on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month gathering from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. provides those who attend with: a meal, an opportunity for socialization and community and as one guest stated, β€œan oasis in the desert.” The Sunday Supper was created as a means of addressing the challenge of food insecurity in the Hampton Roads area.
