Parish Food Pantry |
Every weekend and at each of our liturgies parishioners bring
food items for the Parish Pantry because we recognize that the
needy poor are hungry every day. From the weekend food donations
20 to 30 bags of food are distributed each week to those in
need.

Outreach Ministry |
Parish representatives provide emergency financial
assistance from budgeted parish funds to assist with the medical
and utility bills of those who have fallen into difficult
financial circumstances through no fault of their own.
Share-A-Ride |
We try to arrange transportation to mass, and sometimes to
doctor’s appointments, for those parishioners who are no
longer able to drive themselves. This is done by matching a
driver and a rider in the same neighborhood within the parish.

ICCCW |
The Immaculate Conception Council of Catholic Women (ICCCW)
promotes spiritual growth and education of women, does social
ministry activities and offers opportunity for fellowship. The
group is associated with the National Council of Catholic Women.
| |
Young-At-Heart
Each month parishioners prepare and host a prayer service, a
luncheon, and entertainment for the residents of local nursing
homes who are brought to our parish for the occasion.
| |
Nursing Home Masses
Mass is celebrated at local nursing homes where parish
volunteers assist in wheeling the residents to the home’s
dining room before liturgy and assisting them back to their
rooms after mass. For many nursing home residents, this is their
first contact with Catholics.

Parish Nurses
Each month after the weekend liturgies the nurses of our
parish provide blood-pressure screening and are available to
their fellow parishioners for consultation on health matters.
| |
Building Use
Our multifunctional parish facilities are readily made
available whenever possible for the meetings and functions of
non-profit civic and therapy groups of the Peninsula.

Parties and Socials
Picnics, parties, dances, dinners, entertainment, and
recreation are as essential to our parish life as is the roof
over our heads.
Samaritan Fund
A monthly free will collection provides the funds with which
to assist fellow parishioners who encounter financial hardship.
With this fund we can greatly relieve the burden of anxiety that
can weigh heavily in difficult times.
Ark of One
An accepting and relaxed gathering of widows of the parish
and older parishioners who meet together monthly for friendly
sharing and shared reflection.
Social Ministry Committee
Presently we are engaged in an evaluation and restructuring
of this committee to create a better balance between direct
services and educational and advocacy needs.

Choir
Every parish liturgy requires liturgical music that is
suitable for the celebration, singable by the community, and
evocative of faith. Our large choir wonderfully enhances, but
does not replace, the communal sung prayer of the gathered
assembly.
| |
Funeral Receptions
On behalf of the family of the deceased parishioner, parish
volunteers provide a reception for all who attended the funeral
liturgy.
| |
Nursery
This service is currently suspended because of lack of parent
volunteers. Two non-related adults must be present to
comply with Diocesan regulations under the Child Safe
Environment Program.
| |
Communion to the Sick
Prolonged illness or the infirmities of advanced age can
sometimes prevent participation at the community’s celebration
of the eucharist. Holy Communion is brought to the homebound
sick and to the elderly infirm from the community’s
celebration.
