Faith Formation

Adult Faith Formation

Continuing education and formation in one's faith is essential for every Catholic adult in today's complex and questioning society. Each year the Parish offers a variety of educational, informational, and formational opportunities for the adult community. Scripture study groups are readily available. Additionally, a library of video and audio tapes and current books and magazines is easily accessible to every parishioner.

Faith Formation for Children and Youth

No parish or school can ever replace the parents as the primary teachers of their children. No parish or school can ever replace the home as the primary locus where religious formation takes place. The parish religious education program for children and youth supports parents in their parental responsibility as the first and most effective teachers of their children. It is not intended to replace the parents as the first teachers and exemplars of Catholicism.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

On Sunday mornings children age 5 though 8 are dismissed from the adult liturgical assembly to celebrate a child's version of the Liturgy of the Word apart from the adult community. The children rejoin the adult community for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
